随着生成式人工智能技术在学术写作中的应用日益增加,了解大学生对AI辅助工具的态度变得尤为重要。研究旨在开发一种用于评估大学生对生成式人工智能辅助学术英语写作的态度的量表,通过文献回顾和访谈,确定了量表的维度和代表性题项,通过项目分析、探索性因子分析、验证性因子分析、多群组分析和信效度检验等流程,构建了包含行为、情感和认知三个因子的量表,这些因子维度涵盖了大学生对于使用生成式人工智能辅助学术英语写作的态度,包括技术使用意愿、情感体验和对技术功能的认知。通过对2628名大学生的调查显示,该量表具有良好的心理学测验特性,同时发现大学生对生成式人工智能辅助学术英语写作态度持中等偏积极的态度,在性别与城乡上不存在显著差异,但是在学历层次上存在显著差异。研究为教育实践提供了重要的参考和支持,有助于促进学生更有效地利用技术提升写作能力。
Abstract:With the increasing application of generative artificial intelligence(GenAI) in academic writing, understanding college students' attitudes toward AI-assisted tools has become particularly important. This study aims to develop a scale to assess college students' attitudes toward generative AI-assisted academic English writing. Based on a systematic literature review and interviews, the dimensions and representative items of the scale were identified. Data were collected from 2,628 college students, and the scale was constructed through item analysis, exploratory factor analysis(EFA), confirmatory factor analysis(CFA), multi-group analysis, and reliability and validity testing. The final scale comprises three factors: behavior, affect, and cognition. These dimensions cover various aspects of students' attitudes toward using Gen AI for academic English writing, ranging from willingness to use the technology to emotional experiences and cognitive understanding of its functions. The results show that the scale has sound psychometric properties and provides a reliable tool for further research on students' attitudes toward GenAI in academic writing. An independent samples t-test indicated no significant differences in scale scores by gender or household registration, but there were significant differences across educational levels. The development of this scale offers important references and support for academia and educational practice, contributing to the more effective use of technology to enhance students' writing skills.
