随着我国研究的逐步国际化,英文学术论文的撰写成为了每一个研究者必须掌握的基本技能。该论文就英文学术论文发表相关的认识、方法、期刊选择与质量评价等方面的问题采访了"国际在线与分布式学习研究评论"(The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning)"期刊前主编——特里·安德森教授。他指出学术论文的发表是一个社会化的过程,研究与实践要与当下社会意识形态与政策结构相关联。随着中国在国际范围内的影响力的扩大,中国研究者在国际期刊上发表论文将会得到更多的支持。年轻的学者可以通过阅读专门为非英语的研究者撰写的论文写作书籍和加入学术型社交网站、成为国际期刊的审稿人等方式使自身的英文学术表达能力获得快速提升。他认为研究者应该谨慎对待在国际期刊上发表综述类文章。在期刊选择方面,我们不应该只关注Web of Sience的SSCI中的期刊,Scopus中还收录了很多非常优秀的期刊值得我们关注。其核心考量因素是根据研究的特点来选择对应的期刊,让其能快速传播给最相关的受众(包括研究者和实践者),提升学术影响力。同时,他给出了论文投稿期刊选择的具体标准,并推荐大家将研究发表在开放的英文学术期刊上。最后,他以IRRODL为例,介绍了开放期刊系统的运作机制、开放期刊的论文审查机制、高水平论文的评价标准和投稿时的注意事项。特里·安德森教授是加拿大阿萨巴斯卡大学远程教育研究中心的荣退教授,国际著名远程教育专家,曾连续担任加拿大远程教育研究协会主席12年。2004年至2014年担任"国际在线与分布式学习研究评论"期刊主编。该期刊被SCOPUS、社会科学引文目录(SSCI)等13个数据库收录。同时他也担任《美国远程教育》等9本国际期刊的编委。
Abstract:As Chinese research more international, English paper writing is a basic skill a researcher should be master. This paper interviewed former journal editor of The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning(IRRODL):professor Terry Anderson on paper publishing issues related to the view of paper publishing, method, right journal choosing and paper evaluation. He proposed that publishing is a social process. Expectations are dependent on social context; practices are related to institutions and structures related to power and ideologies. Chinese researchers will get more support in publishing as China is more powerful in the world. Researchers can get promoted by reading books on English's paper publishing for the non-native English researchers, journal in academic social website and to be a reviewer of international journal. It should be careful when prepare to publish a literature review in international journal. For the selection of international journal, he said we do not need to care so much about SSCI. the Scopus have more excellent journals, which are worth to pay more attention. The most important thing of journal selection is find the right journal for the research according to the characteristics of research itself, which can make our research reach more readers, and promote the influence of research. He also proposed the critical of journal selection and recommend us publish paper in open access journals. He introduces the operating and review mechanism of open journal system, reviewers' criteria for recommendation, and tips of paper submission and revision with IRRODL as example. Terry Anderson is a professor emeritus in Center of Distance education in Athabasca University. He had been as Canada Research Chair in Distance Education for 12 years, is an international famous distance education experts. He had been the editor of The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning, which is indexed by 13 academic including SCOPUS and Thompson Reuters Social Sciences Citation Index, from 2004 to 2014. He is also on the editorial boards of 13 journals, such as American Journal of Distance Education.
