外语社会化考试建立在大数据时代,必须有大数据的意识。该文介绍了大数据的功能和价值,分析了外语社会化考试的四个特征。在此基础上,以刚诞生的英语工作能力考试为个案,就如何利用大数据的相关性达到预测目的,为社会用人单位找到合适的人力资源,提高大学英语教学的质量和效率,提出了外语社会化考试数据的层次性、考试设计的模块化、考试项目选择的个性化、工作能力的定量化和数据信息的共享性等原则。

The designers of any socialized tests of foreign languages must have big-data awareness. On the basis of the introduction of the functions and values of big data, and the main features of a socialized examination of foreign languages, the paper uses the case of the newly-established Competence Tests for Workplace English to illustrate such principles as the classification of tests' data, the modularity of the design of test items, the individuality of candidates' choices, the quantification of competence and the sharing of examination information, the principles that socialized tests of foreign languages in the Big Data era should follow.
